Last Firewall Repairs

Mike putting the finishing touches on the firewall cowls and the windshield wiper area before we prep her for seal and paint

Finding the seam

Exposed the rear left quarter seal in preparation for the outer skin change out, just to see what to expect later on in the project, thankfully all is good on that end.

More Rust

Found more rust under the passenger side door, thankfully its an easy fix with a straight cut chunk of metal.

Firewall prep

Removed the windshield and found a few rust spots that needed to be filled in, the previous owner painted the dash with paint that rubbed right off with alcohol so its a good thing that we are repainting the dash and this actually made it a lot easier to strip it instead of grinding the paint off. Used the grinder to remove all the weld marks and prepped the firewall for primer.

Fitting the fenders

Fitting the new fenders to make sure they actually fit the car, also ordered the new rear quarter panel and the sway bar is enroute so hopefully we will receive it soon, 1inch solid sway bar should deff give this thing some stability

New Equipment

Got some new equipment for the shop that will make life a bit easier, a sand blasting cabinet, 16ton tube bender and 4 full rolls of dynomat, and all for under $300 togather

New Parts

We found a guy on craigslist that had a bunch of parts for a 67 and a few for a 69 for sale and we drove the 120 miles each way to take a look at his stuff, ended up picking up a full set of brand new RS fenders, a complete door that is better then the one on the car right now, a steering wheel and a header panel or mikes car, and all for less then $600, i think the ride was worth it
